ICSOLUTIONS SUPPORTS THE GREEN CITY MARKET AT THE CHEF'S BBQ -- 7/15/10

The ICSolutions Team had a ball  both attending and supporting the Green City Market at the annual Chef's BBS. One of the best summer events in Chicago, this grand event showcases some of Chicago’s finest chefs- the “who’s who” of Chicago’s culinary scene. All dishes served at the BBQ feature items offered from the bounty of the market, with 80 chefs creating culinary magic. In addition to food, locally made beer, wine, hand-crafted cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages are enjoyed by all. This is one of Chicago’s most unique – and tastiest – events of the year. ICSolutions supports 15 different supporting restaurants, including all participating Chicago Chef's Hall of Famers.  Green City Market is Chicago’s only year-round farmers’ market promoting local, sustainable farmers, producers and chefs by connecting them to the public through educational programming and special events. SUPPORTING ENDING HUNGER! -- June 2010

Congratulations to Chef Susan Goss as she was honored tb the Chicago Sky and Bank of America as their "Woman of Inspiration" for her work to fight hunger in Chicago! On July 13th, IC Solutions attended a fundraiser for the Greater Food Depository, hosted by Drew and Susan Goss along with Michael and Renee Mahoney. Inspired by the success of the Annual Girl Food Dinner held at West Town Tavern, the Mahoneys and Gosses created a barbecue-themed menu, invited their friends and requested a shared side dish and $50 donation to the Food Depository. While the weather didn’t cooperate and Renee’s beautifully decorated patio had to be recreated in the Goss’ not-so-beautiful garage, the evening was a huge success with much barbecue ingested by all. Drew opened magnums of wine and we all toasted our good fortune and friendship. This simple evening with friends raised $1,650.00 to help fight hunger in Chicago. This grass roots fundraising might indeed result in Everybody Eats.  "This was an amazing evening, not only because of the amazing food, fun and friends, but the good that came out of this brilliant effort," said Jon Tunney.

ICSOLUTIONS ATTENDS CHICAGO GOURMET -- September 2009

IC Solutions was thrilled to attend the second annual Chicago Gourmet, a world-class celebration of food and wine.  The food and wine festival, modeled on long-running annual festivals held in Miami Beach, Aspen,  took place Sept. 26 and 27 in Millennium Park, where you could sample wines from more than 300 producers, spirits from dozens of brands and food from some of the top chefs in the Chicago area. In its inaugural year, Chicago Gourmet featured more food than any comparable festival; and in 2009, organizers doubled the amount of food sampling.

“I think we had great first year, but we definitely heard the feedback and took it to heart,” says Sheila O’Grady, president of the Illinois Restaurant Association. “I think the great thing about this event is that all the partners – the chefs, the sponsors, the mayor – all want the same thing, which is for Chicago to have the very best food and wine event in the country.”

The Grand Cru wine tasting, a 90-minute tasting of some of the world’s finest wines, was extra special, as were amazing seminars attended by ICS President, Jon Tunney, featuring Master
Master Sommelier, Frederick Dame.
